FAQs

When and how did you get started?

The idea of creating a blog started in 2018. I wrote only 2 posts. Later in 2019, I wrote just one post. But still having the idea in mind, I began to write again in April 2020.

Why is the name Be the voice for children?

Be the voice for children is a call to advocate for children because they are a population that depends on adults to be good and healthy. Children cannot ask themselves to support their needs, so we need to take accountability for that. Be the voice for children is accompanied by the statement, Together... one voice! calling for the unity of early childhood professionals, parents, caregivers, and other professionals related to the early childhood field and the well-being of children and families.

Why is Educational psychology important for education?

Educational psychology provides information about theories of learning that explains how students learn. Using research and its findings in Educational psychology contributes enormously to students and teachers applying scientific evidence to improve the learning process and to promote educational success for all students.

How does psychology contribute to the early childhood field?

Psychology contributes to the understanding of the emotions, development, and behavior of children. That understanding implies establishing developmentally appropriate practices in education taking into consideration the needs, abilities, cultural background, diversity, and every other aspect that influences the development and learning of children.

What is the main focus of this blog?

This blog focuses on healthy child and brain development as the foundation for productive and competent adults in our communities and the world. This perspective leads me to advocate, engage, support, and commit to high-quality early childhood education, care, and services and healthy development, growth, well-being, and learning of all children.
