About me

“Never be afraid to raise your voice for honesty and truth and compassion against injustice and lying and greed. If people all over the world...would do this, it would change the earth."

-William FaulknerNobel Prize-winning American novelist, and short-story writer

Welcome to Be the voice for children.

Together... one voice!

My name is Diana Adneris Rivera. It's a pleasure to meet you! Thanks for your interest in me and my blog about articles about early childhood. Here's who I am!

I'm a kindergarten teacher in Puerto Rico and an advocate for high-quality early childhood education, care, and services for the well-being of children and families.

In my free time, I like to read and spent time with my family and friends. I also like to enjoy outdoor activities surrounded by nature. To know me a little more, feel free to read Greetings!

Professional experience and education

I have been working with students for the last 22 years of my life and I could not feel more grateful for this job. I'm also a mother of a 19-year-old son. Being so passionate about working with children and families, I want to be their voice advocating for the equity, accessibility, and availability of the resources, care, and education they deserve.

In 1997, I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and another Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, San German Campus. I completed a Master of Science in Psychology with a specialization in Educational Psychology at Walden University and a Master of Science in Early Childhood Studies with a specialization in Administration, Management, and Leadership also at Walden University.

In my blog

In my blog, you will find resources about effective practices, experiences, and strategies for parents, educators, policymakers, and other people who, like me, feel a huge passion for serving children and families as they deserve for being successful.

This blog advocates for healthy development, growth, and learning considering the coronavirus global health pandemic and the implications in education, mental stability, and well-being of children and families!

Here you can read about educational psychology, child and brain development, parenting, diversity, effective teaching practices, early childhood education and care, its components, goals, and importance besides, other resources and collaboration with people who believe in the empowerment of children and families.

My writings are the results of my experiences as an early childhood teacher, professional knowledge, and research that contribute to the well-being of children and families. I also share links to extraordinary organizations that provide information with appropriate practices, advocacy, leadership, and the contribution of evidence-based knowledge to support the wellness of children and families.

Join me and share!
The early childhood field needs people who advocate and support high-quality education, care, and services for children and families assuring the accessibility and availability of these resources.
