Exploring roles and jobs in the early childhood field

As advocates for children’s well-being and development, professionals in the early childhood field have the commitment to protect children respecting what they need to develop and achieve their full potential. One way is fulfilling children’s needs by providing love, care, understanding, adequate nutrition, and medical care, accessible and available high-quality education, and full opportunity to play and learn. Also supporting their individual abilities, and helping them to enjoy their rights regardless of their race, color, sex, religion, or other diversity are some of the most important roles of early childhood professionals.

Early childhood professionals must explore areas and careers where they can prove their passion for the field and collaborate with others and with organizations that share the same passion. Many of them provide opportunities to grow professionally offering roles and jobs in the early childhood field that help professionals to develop advocacy and leadership skills.

Your commitment to fulfilling roles and jobs in the early childhood field

Jobs in the early childhood field require a professional education and training according to the position of the desired job. It probably also requires a license. But there are other requirements as an individual to work with the most precious value of our societies… children.

Jobs in the early childhood field need committed professionals, ambitious and ready for challenges, motivated, passionate, and dedicated. The field needs professionals with the highest integrity to empower and support children and families protecting them from harm and respecting them as individuals.

If you encountered yourself in this description, then take a look at the following organizations and explore the links to other organizations and groups to broaden and open doors of possibilities in opportunities and knowledge to help you grow professionally and personally.

Organizations committed to the early childhood field

Research has proved that children could not succeed in education without receiving an adequate foundation during the early years. The contribution of organizations committed to the development, growth, and learning of children and the well-being of families sustain the belief that each child could be able to reach adulthood by developing their potential. With the belief and passion of the north of its members, it helps to expand knowledge and power to contribute to improvements for early childhood field services.

I want to share some organizations with that mission.

Results for Development

The organization Results for Development advocates for sustainable progress in health, education, and nutrition. Results for Development engage with government officials, leaders, and social innovators focusing on resources to protect mothers and children from malnutrition, introducing play-based learning in early education programs, and ensuring affordable and high-quality care for all.

For professionals who share the same passion, some professional opportunities could explore in the careers section. Benefits and compensation are also available and the requirements for each available position.

In the career center, the organization provides many professional opportunities in the job listing and employers' hiring sections.

Professional opportunities for early childhood professionals that feel the passion and commitment to contribute to the well-being of children and families are vastly available. My passion is to work in the early childhood field. I have been a teacher for 18 years of my life. I describe these as the most wonderful experience dedicated to change positively the lives of other human beings. I feel honored to work with children and families and I do it with the respect they all deserve. When you got the job you dreamt of, you feel an enormous passion that moves you to do the best in that job for the benefit of others and for the organization.

During these years working as a teacher, I acquired knowledge about child development and growth becoming research my other passion. I believe that research is the key to sustaining the work that early childhood professionals do on behalf of children and families, for planning and creating a developmentally appropriate curriculum, and for establishing policies and programs to support high-quality education and care, healthy nutrition, and adequate medical and health services for all. If you want to become better, try hard to be better. Read and learn more!

As research advances, the early childhood field needs advocates to share the voice for those who need us… all children and families regardless of their skin color, race, gender, family structure, ability, religion, culture, or socioeconomic status. And that’s the other passion I'm working on. I envision myself as a researcher and as an advocate to facilitate change and the development of new policies, laws, and regulations for all children and families, especially those in need. To succeed I’m acquiring knowledge, and leadership skills, and also need you for your collaboration, partnership, and support!
